There is a reason why there is some speculation that Faye was in love with Spike. The popular anime series Cowboy Bebop has an enormous fan base. Haggis claimed that a ship had approached them one night, claiming to be looking for Faye. To assist him in assisting Faye, Whitney Haggis impersonated a lawyer named Whitney Haggis Matsumoto. Furthermore, Matsumoto did not provide Faye with her Identikit, leaving her only with a fake Valentine’s name and a fictitious ID, X1-2345SSY. Matsumoto, as played by Tom Felton in the live-action version, impersonated her mother after she arrived to steal Faye’s medical settlement money. If they wanted to go for a different kind of theme, instead of saying “lol she lesbian now, no more eye candy for you bigot,” they could have chosen to go for a more sophisticated one. If you make it work, they don’t have to frame it for it. The death of Faye was both effective and well-deserved. There is no escaping the fact that when Faye woke up from cryo, she was immediately confronted by my men. She was also being manipulated by a male in her initial debut. There is no way to change a gendered traumatic event that has a negative impact on the gendered event. Ed’s character had a significant arc throughout the series, as did the rest of the moody cast, and was added to many episodes. Because Netflix anime live action adaptations are typically below average, the average of the average below is 2.5, and John Cho does a good job as Spike, and Shakir kills it as Jet, this is an excellent adaptation. You could, for example, substitute Ein’s voice for a mystery hacker, and they would come across him somewhere else, and everything about the story would be the same. A complete stranger cannot judge Ed based on his behavior. There is nothing to be gained by comparing the two. It’s a great popcorn film, thanks to the major story beats from OG. You can use Live Action Cowboy Bebop as an alternative. While Faye isn’t explicitly said to be queer in the show, there are plenty of moments that suggest she is, and fans have been quick to embrace her as part of the LGBTQ+ community. She’s also unapologetically herself, which is something that many queer people can relate to. Faye is a woman who doesn’t conform to societal norms and isn’t afraid to flaunt her sexuality. Faye Valentine is one of the most iconic characters in Cowboy Bebop, and for many fans, she’s also one of the most queer.
